After learning about Google's initiative to fund YouTube Original Channels, Radical Media pitched the idea for THNKR, an educational entertainment channel that gives extraordinary access to the ideas, stories, and people that are transforming the world.
Radical Media won the bid, and in 2012 launched the THNKR channel with four original shows - Epiphany, Bookd, Podium, and Prodigies. The channel was recieved with enthusiasm from sites such as Fast Company, USA Today, and Deadline Hollywood and gained an immediate following on YouTube.
In 2013, THNKR won the Webby Award for Documentary Series. That same year, the series Prodigies, which follows talented young phenomenons as they challenge themselves to reach new heights, won the International Academy of Web Television Award for Best Documentary Series.
The brand expanded to include a prolofic social media and online presence, introducing a Tumblr blog and a featured column on Creativity Post. THNKR continues as a hub for inspiring content from Radical Media, with 360 videos, nearly 100 million YouTube views, and over 700,000 subscribers.
